Dr. James Worriax, MD
Dr. Worriax is originally from Pembroke, North Carolina. He is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Pembroke, which is where he met Jessica, his wife of 17 years. Together they have two wonderful children - their daughter Jayden and their son Jacob.
After graduation from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee, Dr. Worriax completed his residency training in family medicine at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, NC. He has over 12 years of experience in family medicine.
Dr. Worriax is also very involved in ministry. He has furthered his education at the North Carolina College of Theology, receiving both an Associate’s and a Bachelor’s degree in Theology. He serves as both the Executive Pastor & the Youth Pastor for the Sanctuary of Wilmington.
Audry Simpson FNP-C
Mrs. Audry Simpson is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner who graduated with her Masters of Nursing from South University, located in Savannah, Ga. Prior to becoming a Family Nurse Practitioner, Audry spent 10 years as an Emergency Department Nurse. Through her work experience and clinical rotations in emergency medicine, primary care, pediatrics, gerontology and women’s health, she has developed a great knowledge base to provide exceptional care to the patients of Star Medical Group. Her mission is to improve patient care, and to empower and educate patients to optimize their health through holistic care.
Audry also has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Oklahoma Panhandle State University. She is an active member and board certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, and is also a member Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society for Nursing.
After honorably serving in the United Sates Military, Audry has enjoyed living in Coastal Carolina for 8 years with her husband and three children. In her spare time, you can find her cycling or spending time exploring the outdoors.
Mr. William (Bill) Fossett FNP-C
Mr. William “Bill” Fossett, FNP-C
Mr. Fossett is from Wilmington, NC. He graduated with his Bachelor's degree in Nursing from UNCW. He began his nursing journey working at NHRMC caring for cardiac patients before becoming a traveling nurse working at facilities across North and South Carolina. He gained a passion for healthcare that provided him with the desire to become a nurse practitioner so he could do more to promote the health of his patients. He continued his nursing education by completing a Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University. Once completing this program, he became certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. Mr. Fossettt enjoys spending time with his daughters and granddaughter in Wilmington, getting out on the waterway in the boat, and riding his Goldwing on country roads with his daughter.
Frank Lovato, PA
Mr Lovato, a former army special forces medic, has joined our practice with over 30 years experience as a Physician Assistant.
He is an Army-trained Physician Assistant who graduated in 1982, well versed in Military Medicine and the medical needs of the military community.
Mr Lovato has been married for 41 years, with four children and has a strong background in family medicine, urgent care and occupational health .
Kelli McBride FNP-C
Mrs. Kelli McBride is a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner with a background in the Emergency Room and Hematology/Oncology. She obtained her Masters of Science in Nursing from Duke University. She is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. Her top priority is to develop personalized goals with her patients and partner with them to achieve their greatest level of wellness. She is passionate about Primary Care and is very excited to be part of the Star Medical Team.
Ms. L. Brooke Eaves PA-C
Ms. Brooke Eaves is a board-certified Physician Assistant who graduated with a Bachelor’s in Biological Sciences and a Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies from Southern Illinois University. She is currently a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants. Before becoming a PA, Brooke worked as an Emergency Department Technician and Nursing Assistant caring for individuals with traumatic brain injuries. She completed various clinical rotations in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Geriatrics, Pediatrics, Women’s Health, Psychiatry, and Surgery. Additionally, Brooke completed an internship in Emergency Medicine and has worked in Urgent Care since graduating. Throughout these various experiences, she has become a very well-rounded provider and looks forward to joining the team at Star Medical Clinic and extending her focus to Family Medicine. Her ultimate goal is to connect with her patients, to provide quality medical care, and to motivate each and every patient to take charge of their health and their lives. Outside of the office, Brooke enjoys running, hiking, attending concerts, spending time with her family, and traveling.
Mrs. Allison Caggiano AGCNP-BC
Mrs. Allison Caggiano is a certified Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing degree from Villanova University. Prior to becoming a Nurse Practitioner, Allison practiced as a medical-surgical telemetry nurse at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown, Pennsylvania. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Villanova University and also has a prior BS in Biology from Dickinson College.
Allison is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and a member of Sigma Tau International Honor Society for Nursing. In 2017, she was awarded the Ralston Center Award for Gerontology Nursing Excellence for her passion and dedication to serving the adult-geriatric population.
Allison is passionate about preventative care, health promotion and ongoing education within the adult and geriatric community. She is looking forward to caring for the residents of Jacksonville and surrounding areas.

Mr. Scyoc has been a part of the Medical Field for over 15 years. Mr. Scyoc started in his career as a member of clinical staff and quickly advanced to the role of Clinical Supervisor and finally the Practice Manager of two urgent and primary cares. Mr. Scyoc completed his studies at St. Augustine College with his degree. Since then, he has become certified in many areas of health care. Mr. Scyoc believes in higher education for all and helps promote that to his staff and patients. Mr. Scyoc is a member POMAA , Physician Office Managers Association Of America & Urgent care Association of America where he became certified and credentialed. He was also recently honored and recognized by Trademark Who’s Who as a leading professional for demonstrating outstanding dedication, commitment and courage. Mr. Scyoc strives to uphold the highest standards of care for the healthcare profession. Mr. Scyoc believes in Primary & Urgent Care Clinic mission statement "Where patients are our #1 concern" . We are very happy to have Mr. Scyoc as our Chief Executive Officer and now with him at the helm we will grow and give the best quality of care possible.
Amber Jarvis RMA, COHC
Mrs. Amber Jarvis started her career in the medical field as a CNA work with the elderly as a assisting living facility. Mrs Jarvis decide to go back to school for billing and coding and got her degree in medical billing. She also went back to school to complete a Medical Assistant program and is now Registered with the American Registry of Medical Assistant . Mrs Jarvis loves spending time at home with her husband John and her dog bailey. Mrs Jarvis goal in life is to give the best care she can and to treat all patients like they are family.
Pansy Scyoc-Thornton COO,LPN, B.A.T

Mrs. Scyoc-Thornton comes to us with over 25 years’ experience in the medical field. She started her career with OMH in Jacksonville NC were she was a floor nurse for many years until she moved into management for the hospital. After 18 years with OMH She felt it was time to get back to what she loves and that is primary care, for the past few year she has been working for private primary care clinic’s as part of their clinical staff and management team.
Front Desk Supervisor
Mrs. Kristie Seller Started her career in the medical field in 1998. Early in her career she was in a cardiology office, she also has some experience in chiropractic administration. Her companion for people drew her to apply for a front desk position at a well-established Family Medical office in her home town of Goldsboro NC, where she stayed for 13 years and became the head of HR. She moved to the Jacksonville Area in 2015 with her husband and 3 boy's were she started a job at Star Medical Clinic as a front desk staff member and due to her work exprecince and great personal skills she was quickly promoted to Front desk lead.
