Dr. James Worriax, MD
Dr. Worriax is originally from Pembroke, North Carolina. He is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Pembroke, which is where he met Jessica, his wife of 17 years. Together they have two wonderful children - their daughter Jayden and their son Jacob.
After graduation from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee, Dr. Worriax completed his residency training in family medicine at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, NC. He has over 12 years of experience in family medicine.
Dr. Worriax is also very involved in ministry. He has furthered his education at the North Carolina College of Theology, receiving both an Associate’s and a Bachelor’s degree in Theology. He serves as both the Executive Pastor & the Youth Pastor for the Sanctuary of Wilmington.
Rebecca Charnley PA-C
Ms. Rebecca Charnley is a board-certified Physician Assistant from Westminster, Maryland. She graduated from University of Delaware with a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience with a minor in Philosophy. She then went on to receive her Masters of Physician Assistant Studies from University of Charleston. Rebecca has been in the medical field since 2013 when she began working as a patient companion in a Baltimore area hospital. This experience helped Rebecca realize her love for medicine and compassionate patient care. In her free time, Rebecca enjoys running, spending time at the beach, cooking and baking, and spoiling her dog, Nelly. Rebecca is ecstatic to be joining the team at Star Medical Clinic!
Rebecca Gates PA-C
Ms. Rebecca Gates is a board-certified physician assistant from Hickory, NC. She graduated with university and departmental honors in Exercise Science at Appalachian State University with minors in chemistry and biology. Prior to earning her master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Lenoir-Rhyne University, she worked as a supervisor and medication aide in the dementia unit at a local assisted living facility. With over 7 years of healthcare experience, Rebecca is delighted to be a member of the Star Medical Clinic team and to uphold the standards of exceptional patient care.
Her passions outside of medicine include running, working on DIY projects, and traveling to experience the rewards of differing cultures and environments
Frank Lovato, PA
Mr Lovato, a former army special forces medic, has joined our practice with over 30 years experience as a Physician Assistant.
He is an Army-trained Physician Assistant who graduated in 1982, well versed in Military Medicine and the medical needs of the military community.
Mr Lovato has been married for 41 years, with four children and has a strong background in family medicine, urgent care and occupational health .
Mrs. Regina Yost FNP-C
Mrs. Regina Yost is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with a background in Emergency and Urgent Care medicine. A native of Onslow County, Regina began her nursing career locally with an Associate of Science in Nursing at Coastal Carolina Community College. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from University of Mount Olive and her Master of Science in Nursing from University of South Alabama. Regina graduated with honors with each degree and is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society for Nursing.
Regina is excited to bring her knowledge base and compassion together to provide patient centered care for the families in her local community. She prides herself in the relationships that she builds with her patients and their families, and she enjoys celebrating with patients when they reach their healthcare goals. In her free time, Regina enjoys spending time with her husband and three children. They enjoy traveling and large family gatherings. Regina is thrilled to be a part of the team at Star Medical and looks forward to building relationships with the families of Onslow County
Amber Farlow PA-C
Ms. Amber Farlow is a board-certified Physician Assistant from Sophia, North Carolina. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Biology at University of North Carolina at Greensboro, then obtained her Master of Physician Assistant from Lenoir-Rhyne University. She spent most of her childhood as a military dependent, as her father served in the Air Force for 20 years. In January of 2020, she spent 6 weeks providing medical care for women in rural towns surrounding Cusco, Peru. She has a strong passion for preventative medicine and living a healthy lifestyle. Success to Amber is making her patients feel cared for. She enjoys spending time outdoors skiing, hiking, backpacking, kayaking, and stand up paddleboarding. Amber is excited to join the Star Medical Clinic team and to make a positive impact on the community of Jacksonville, NC
Seth Jaussen PA-C
Mr. Seth Jaussen is a board certified physician assistant who hails from Greenville, PA. He received both his Bachelor of Health Science and Master of Physician Assistant Science at Gannon University in Erie, PA. Seth currently holds membership in the American Academy of Physician Assistants. In his free time he enjoys backpacking, biking, and fly fishing. He brings zest and passion to Star Medical and strives to provide top-notch health care to this community

Mr. Scyoc has been a part of the Medical Field for over 15 years. Mr. Scyoc started in his career as a member of clinical staff and quickly advanced to the role of Clinical Supervisor and finally the Practice Manager of two urgent and primary cares. Mr. Scyoc completed his studies at St. Augustine College with two associate Degrees. Mr. Scyoc also graduated from Penn Foster College With a Bachelor's Of Science In Business and Healthcare management. Since then, he has become certified in many areas of health care. Mr. Scyoc believes in higher education for all and helps promote that to his staff and patients. Mr. Scyoc is a member POMAA , Physician Office Managers Association Of America & Urgent care Association of America where he became certified and credentialed. Mr. Scyoc Also has completed Training to me CAOHC Certified as a Certified Occupational Hearing Conservationist (COHC). He was also recently honored and recognized by Trademark Who’s Who as a leading professional for demonstrating outstanding dedication, commitment and courage. Mr. Scyoc strives to uphold the highest standards of care for the healthcare profession. Mr. Scyoc believes in Primary & Urgent Care Clinic mission statement "Where patients are our #1 concern" . Mrs. Scyoc-Thornton comes to us with over 25 years’ experience in the medical field. She started her career with OMH in Jacksonville NC were she was a floor nurse for many years until she moved into management for the hospital. After 18 years with OMH She felt it was time to get back to what she loves and that is primary care, for the past few year she has been working for private primary care clinic’s as part of their clinical staff and management team.
Amber Jarvis CCO, RMA, COHC

Mrs. Amber Jarvis started her career in the medical field as a CNA work with the elderly as a assisting living facility. Mrs Jarvis decide to go back to school for billing and coding and got her degree in medical billing. She also went back to school to complete a Medical Assistant program and is now Registered with the American Registry of Medical Assistant Mrs. Jarvis Also has completed Training to me CAOHC Certified as a Certified Occupational Hearing Conservationist (COHC). Mrs Jarvis loves spending time at home with her husband John and her dog bailey. Mrs Jarvis goal in life is to give the best care she can and to treat all patients like they are family.
